COURSE STRUCTURE – SALESPERSON AND BROKERS LICENSE COURSES

The course design is dictated by the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) and requires you to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter in one chapter of the course before progressing to the next. This means:

  • The online chapter quizzes are mandatory.
  • You must advance through the online chapter quizzes in a linear fashion and you cannot advance to the next chapter quiz until the previous chapter’s quiz has been completed.
  • You cannot access the course final examination and complete the course until all chapter quizzes have been completed and minimum time* (18 calendar days) has elapsed. Once all the qualifications have been met students will be able to access their course exam. See the section TIME-TO-COMPLETE for more information.

DISCLAIMER STATEMENT

Although every effort has been made to provide accurate and current information in this text and trainings, the ideas, suggestions, general principles and conclusions presented in this text and trainings are subject to local, state and federal laws and regulations, court cases and any revisions of same. The author, publisher and/or trainers is not engaged in rendering legal tax, or other professional services. The reader/student is thus urged to consult with his/her employing broker and/or seek legal counsel regarding any points of law. This publication/program should not be used as a substitute for competent legal advice.

The textbook course content is provided by Dearborn and approved for pre-license education credit by the DRE. However, this approval does not constitute an endorsement of the views or opinions which are expressed by the course sponsor, instructor, authors or lecturers.

TIME-TO-COMPLETE

The DRE allows each course to be completed in a MINIMUM time of 2 ½ weeks (18 calendar days) from the date you receive the course material. The MAXIMUM time we allow for completion of the course is 6 months from the date of enrollment with the option to extend another 6 months for an additional fee (equating to 1 year from enrollment). The DRE requires that all courses must be completed in one (1) year.

The 2 ½ week rule dictates how quickly you can take the final exam and complete each course. For example, the absolute fastest you can complete two courses is 5 weeks (36 calendar days). REMEMBER, the rule is 2 ½ weeks (18 calendar days) from the date of purchase. If you still have questions about how fast you can complete your course(s), please contact CA Realty Training for clarification.

COVID POLICY

While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, we must also clarify that COVID-19 cannot be considered a valid reason for training reimbursement. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, our dedicated Student Services department is here to assist you with further information and explore the available options. Please feel free to reach out to them at [email protected].

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING DISCLAIMER

CA Realty Training provides supplemental training sessions that are designed to help educate students. They are not required but are available for an additional fee. (Training sessions are available for $81.67 per month.) They are also not intended to replace the 45-hour (18-day) state requirement that students must fulfill in order to obtain their course completion certificate.

IN-PERSON/WEBINAR & ONLINE PROGRAM

Our in-person and webinar training is supplemental education to the online portal. Trainers, with experience in real estate, are hand-selected to lead every session. That means students learn under the trainer’s philosophies and are taught how to apply the course material in real-world situations. This program is designed to give you a complete perspective on real estate. The in-person and webinar training gives our students the chance to ask questions to an active real estate agent. Trainers answer student questions about the course material and what it is like to work as a real estate agent. The sessions do not cover every topic in the course’s textbooks. The trainers teach material based on their professional experience and the topic’s relevance.

3 MONTH AUTOMATIC INSTALLMENT PLAN

This plan is designed to make your learning journey seamless and accessible. Here are the key details you need to know:

  • Plan Features: The installment plan features three automatic payments spread over a period of three months, allowing you to manage your finances more effectively.
  • Payment Schedule: Your first installment will be charged on the day of your program enrollment. The second installment will be charged 30 days after that date, followed by the third installment 30 days after the second payment.
  • Fee Applicable: Please note that a $30.00 fee will be applied to the grand total for utilizing the installment plan.
  • Textbook Purchase: If you choose to purchase hard copy textbooks, the cost of shipping and tax will be included in your initial payment.
  • Payment Flexibility: We want to emphasize that your payments are not dependent on your attendance or rescheduling of training sessions. Whether you have placed your live training on hold or purchased in advance, the payment schedule remains unaffected.
  • Switching Options: Should you decide to switch to an online-only option, kindly note that the installment plan is exclusive to our In-Person/Webinar (Live+Online) Program. In such cases, the remaining balance of the installment plan must be paid.

LATE PAYMENT REINSTATEMENT FEE

By participating in our 3 Month Installment Plan, you acknowledge and agree to the imposition of the Late Payment Reinstatement Fee as described below.

For our 3 Month Installment Plan, a Late Payment Reinstatement Fee will be applicable in the event of delayed payments. If your payment is not received within 14 days of the due date, on day 15, you will be required to pay a fee of $25 to reinstate access to your account. This fee applies specifically to Installment Payments #2 and #3 and is in addition to the outstanding payment amount.

Please note that if a Late Payment Reinstatement Fee is applied to your account, you must complete this and any outstanding payments prior to regaining access to your account.

Late Payments: Making your payments late will remove time from your online access. Your online portal access does not stop counting down if you have not made a payment.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

In-person and webinar training is purely supplemental; attendance is not mandatory. Your in-person and webinar training must be taken the months you have purchased (i.e. March 10th start, training is selected for March, April, and May). If you need to adjust your training schedule, please call us prior to your training beginning and we can adjust your schedule. If no contact has been made by a student to place training on hold, it is assumed that the student has attended those selected months. It is not sufficient to let your trainer know you will be missing sessions, you must notify the Headquarters via email [email protected].

Once your month(s) of in-person and webinar training has(ve) been completed, you are no longer eligible to attend the in-person and webinar training for future month(s) without a valid proof of absence or additional purchase. If you have a valid reason to be absent, you will need to email our headquarters with proof of the following:

  • Extensive medical emergency (e.g. doctor’s note or discharge papers)
  • Family emergency
  • Conflicting travel plan(s) (e.g. flight itinerary)
  • Conflicting work schedule (e.g. shift schedule proof)

If you feel you have another valid reason that doesn’t fall under these categories, please email it with proof and we will evaluate it on a one-off basis. All information, evidence, and approval must be completed at least 1-week prior to the month of training you would like to re-enroll in.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU MISS A LIVE SESSION?

Live sessions are supplemental and not required to gain your course certificates of completion; it is not a problem if you miss a session or two.  Also, the trainer presentation slides that are used in the live training are already loaded on your portal for you to review.

We do not provide make-up sessions. The student can make-up everything on their own.

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to miss a live session or two. Please know that it is completely okay, and you will not be penalized nor will this affect your ability to receive your course certificates of completion. All of the Google slides presented during class are readily accessible on your portal, allowing you the flexibility to review the materials at your convenience. Although we do not offer make-up sessions for missed live sessions, rest assured that our comprehensive online courses are designed to be self-paced. You have the freedom to catch up on any missed material and continue your learning journey at a pace that suits you best.

PLACING YOUR LIVE TRAINING ON HOLD

To temporarily suspend your Live training, we kindly request that you get in touch with a member of our dedicated team. Please reach out to us through email at [email protected] to communicate your intention to place your training on hold. While we appreciate any communication you may have with your trainer regarding missed sessions, it is vital to remember that notifying your trainer alone is not sufficient for placing your training on hold. Taking a few moments to email our support team ensures a smooth and seamless process, allowing us to accommodate your needs appropriately.

ONLINE & VIDEOS PROGRAM

The course videos are pre-recorded sessions of in-class training. The trainer, with experience in real estate, has been hand-selected to lead the video sessions. That means students learn under the trainer’s philosophies and are taught how to apply the course material in real-world situations. The videos are designed to give you a complete perspective on real estate and do not cover every topic in the course’s textbooks. These videos are not required but are available for an additional fee. (Videos are available for $5 per chapter.) No refunds will be provided for course video purchases.

SALESPERSON AND BROKER LICENSE RE-ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENT

Courses must be completed within 1 year from the original purchase date. If a course is not completed within a year, students are required to re-enroll in that course for $25 per course. If cancellation occurs after (14) fourteen calendar days from the date of purchase, no refund will be issued. Refunds will also not be granted if you have completed more than 2/3 of a course. If you paid by credit card, your account will be credited within 30 days of approval.

For a full in-person and webinar supplemental training refund, the request must be made within the following time frame:

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FAIL A FINAL COURSE EXAM?

If you fail the course final examination, you will be given an opportunity to retake the exam. If you fail the course exam for the second time, your course will be reset. This means you will need to wait a minimum of 18-days before you can retake the final exam and you must retake all of the quizzes for that course.

If the books are lost due to an incorrect address, it is the student’s responsibility to purchase the books again including shipping and handling fees.

DELIVERED STATUS: If textbooks have been confirmed as “delivered” by the shipping carrier, and the address provided is correct, please note there is no basis to file a claim. It will be the responsibility of the student to purchase a replacement set.

If you extend each course for six months, you will have six months from the date of purchase to complete each course, before the course will expire and you will have to re-enroll.

Extensions are not refundable.

SALESPERSON AND BROKER LICENSE RE-ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENT

Courses must be completed within 1 year from the original purchase date. If a course is not completed within a year, students are required to re-enroll in that course for $25 per course.

DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS: A student must contact CA Realty Training within 2 weeks of delivery. If a student waits more than 1 month from delivery, CA Realty Training is unable to file any claims with shipping companies.

SALESPERSON AND BROKER LICENSE PROGRAM EXTENSION POLICY

Should you not be able to complete this program within six (6) months of the date of enrollment, (for any reason, no exceptions), you may extend your enrollment for a period of six (6) months for $25.00 per course.

Re-enrollment purchases are not refundable.

If for any reason you decide to cancel your enrollment, we will issue a refund (less a $30 registration fee). Requests for cancellations and refunds can only be made by email to the Operations Manager [email protected]. If cancellation occurs after (14) fourteen calendar days from the date of purchase, no refund will be issued. Refunds will also not be granted if you have completed more than 2/3 of a course.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

In-person and webinar training is purely supplemental; attendance is not mandatory. Your in-person and webinar training must be taken the months you have purchased (i.e. March 10th start, training is selected for March, April, and May). If no contact has been made by a student to place training on hold, it is assumed that the student has attended those selected months. Once your month(s) of in-person and webinar training has(ve) been completed, you are no longer eligible to attend the in-person and webinar training for future month(s) without a valid proof of absence or additional purchase.

The Online Crash Course Course system is only available for 2-months from your purchase date, however this does not include your Online State Exam Prep Course. You have access to your Online State Exam Prep Course for 6 months from your original purchase date with the option to extend.

EXAM PREP/CRASH COURSE RESCHEDULING AND REFUND POLICY

For any rescheduling of a Live In-Class or Webinar Crash Course, you must notify the headquarters by email at least 48 hours before the selected date. If notification of reschedule is less than 48 hours before the training, there will be a rescheduling fee. To reschedule your Crash Course you must submit an email [email protected]. If you reschedule your live In-Class or Webinar crash course, your access to the online state exam prep and online crash course system will not be extended.

This process is done on a case by case basis, at the discretion of the Operations Manager. To submit a request for a refund or cancelation you must email the Operations Manager [email protected].

If you miss your Live In-Class or Webinar Crash Course and do not follow the protocol (above) to notify the headquarters prior to the date of the event, you will be charged full price to attend a new Live In-Class or Webinar crash course on a new date.

COURSE COMPLETION

Completion of a course includes taking and passing the quizzes and the course final examination. The final examination must be taken no later than the last day of the course enrollment period.

All course completion certificates will be made immediately available to you once you have completed and passed your online course exam. Course completion certificates are available to you under the certificates tab of your online dashboard. Certificates are not mailed to students or to the DRE. Students must print their certificates.

DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS: A student must contact CA Realty Training within 2 weeks of delivery. If a student waits more than 1 month from delivery, CA Realty Training is unable to file any claims with shipping companies.

Should you not be able to complete this program within six (6) months of the date of enrollment, (for any reason, no exceptions), you may extend your enrollment for a period of six (6) months for $25.00 per course.

Upon re-enrolling, all progress in an unfinished course is reset in order to meet all Department of Real Estate guidelines.

Re-enrollment purchases are not refundable.

SALESPERSON AND BROKERS LICENSE PROGRAM REFUND POLICY

If for any reason you decide to cancel your enrollment, we will issue a refund (less a $30 registration fee). Requests for cancellations and refunds can only be made by email to the Operations Manager [email protected]. If cancellation occurs after (14) fourteen calendar days from the date of purchase, no refund will be issued. Refunds will also not be granted if you have completed more than 2/3 of a course.

The videos are designed to give you a complete perspective on real estate and do not cover every topic in the course’s textbooks. If you fail the course final examination, you will be given an opportunity to retake the exam. If you fail the course exam for the second time, your course will be reset. This means you will need to wait a minimum of 18-days before you can retake the final exam and you must retake all of the quizzes for that course.

COURSE COMPLETION

Completion of a course includes taking and passing the quizzes and the course final examination. The final examination must be taken no later than the last day of the course enrollment period.

COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

All course completion certificates will be made immediately available to you once you have completed and passed your online course exam. Course completion certificates are available to you under the certificates tab of your online dashboard. Certificates are not mailed to students or to the DRE. Students must print their certificates.

Electronic books are located on your portal within each chapter of each course. You must have internet access to load the eBook. Please note that the eBooks are not downloadable or printable. You can always purchase hard copy textbooks at a later time. You can only purchase one (1) hard copy textbook per online course you are enrolled in.

HARDCOPY BOOKS POLICY
