Yes. In-class training is purely supplemental, and your attendance is not mandatory. Your hours and requirements mandated by the Department of Real Estate (DRE) are met through your online coursework.
Hardcopy textbooks take approximately five - seven business days to be delivered via FedEx.
If you fail the course exam once, you can retake it immediately but the questions will be different. If you fail the course exam a second time, you have to retake the course. This means you need to wait 18 days and retake all of your chapter quizzes for that course before you can retake the final exam.
Each class is independent of one another so you do not need to take them in a particular order.
You have two attempts to pass each course final exam. If you fail the second time, you must start the course over, pass all of the chapter quizzes, and wait another 18 days from the second attempt to access the final exam.

A live scan is an electronic scan of your finger prints for a background check. The cost for a live scan varies from $60-$80 depending on where you go. Some police stations and UPS locations offer this service. The state exam features seven different categories which are covered in all of the real estate courses. The categories include: Contracts, Financing, Laws of Agency and Fiduciary Duties, Practice of Real Estate and Disclosures, Property Ownership and Land Use Controls and Regulations, Property Valuation and Financial Analysis, and Transfer of Property.
To pass the state exam, you must obtain a 70% or higher.

We provide you with the material you need to pass the state exam. If you work hard, are motivated, and stay on schedule, it is very likely that you will pass. We have a 90% pass rate from students who have completed our coursework and taken at least five practice exams scoring an 80% or higher.

If you applied with the RE 435 form and completed a live scan, you can expect your license within a week of passing. If you only applied for the exam, the Department of Real Estate (DRE) will mail you the license application form to complete.
Our online state exam prep is optional, but highly recommended.
The state exam must be taken in the State of California at a proctored location.
You have two years from the time your license expires to complete the continuing education courses, but you can't conduct any real estate activities during this time. If it's been longer than two years, we recommend contacting the Department of Real Estate (DRE) at (877) 373-4542.
