Please Read Carefully Before You Register
METHODS OF DELIVERY:
- Format #1: Online course with ebook (reading, quizzes, and final exam online)
- Format #2: Online course with ebook and physical textbook (reading, quizzes and final exam online)
The course design is dictated by the California Bureau of Real Estate (CalBRE) and requires you to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter in one chapter of the course before progressing to the next. This means:
- The online chapter quizzes are mandatory.
- You must advance through the online chapter quizzes in a linear fashion and you cannot advance to the next chapter quiz until the previous chapter’s quiz has been completed.
- You cannot access the course final examination and complete the course unit all chapter quizzes have been completed and minimum time* (18 days) has elapsed. Once all the qualifications have been met you students will be able to access their course exam.
The CalBRE allows each course to be completed in a MINIMUM time of 2 1/2 weeks (18 calendar days) from the date you receive the course material. The MAXIMUM time we allow for completion of the course is 1 year from the date of enrollment.
The 2 1/2 week rule dictates how quickly you can take the final exam and complete each course. For example, the absolute fastest you can complete two courses is 5 weeks. REMEMBER, the rule is:2 1/2 weeks ( 18 calendar days) from the date you receive the ebook or hardcopy textbook for each course. If you still have questions about how fast you can complete your course(s), please call the school for clarification.
Should you not be able to complete this course within one (1) year of the date of enrollment, (for any reason, no exceptions), you may extend your enrollment for a period of three (3) months for $60.00 or one year for the full course fee. If you extend for three months, you have three months from the original expiration date of your course(s). If you extend for one year, you have one year from the date of re-enrollment. REMEMBER, if the textbook edition has changed, you will be required to purchase the current textbook to extend the course.
FINAL EXAMINATION AND PASSING THE COURSE
In order for you to pass this course, you will be required to take and pass an online final examination (100 multiple-choice,2 1/2 hours, 60% or better to pass, open book).
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FAIL A FINAL EXAM?
If you fail the course final examination, you will be given an opportunity to retake the exam. If you fail the course exam for the second time, you will need to wait a minimum of 18 days before you can retake the final exam, and you must complete all quizzes again within that time period.
Completion of a course includes taking and passing the course final examination. The final examination must be taken no later than the last day of the course enrollment period.
COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE
All course completion certificates will be made immediately available to you once you have completed and passed your course exam online. Course completion certificates are available to you under the certificates tab of your online dashboard.
IDENTIFICATION FOR FINAL EXAM
You must enter a current driver’s license number as a means of identification prior to accessing the final examination. By entering your driver’s license number you are affirming that you are the student registered for this course and that you personally will complete the final examination. Any violation of this section will result revocation of the completion certificate for this course and will be reported to the California Bureau of Real Estate.
If for any reason you decide to cancel your enrollment, we will issue a refund (less a $25 registration, shipping and handling fee). Requests for cancellations and refunds can be made in any manner but preferably in writing (email or mail). If cancellation occurs by midnight of the 15th calendar day after the date of enrollment no refund will be issue after the above mentioned time period. Refunds will also not be granted if you have completed more than 2/3 of the course. No refunds will be provided for video purchases. If you paid by credit card, your account will be credited within 30 days. All textbooks, if ordered, must be returned to the school, in good and usable condition*, within 10 days of the date of cancellation. If you do not return the material supplied by the school within this 10-day period, the school may keep an amount out of what you paid that equals the price of the textbooks for the course. The school will refund any amount over that as provided above.
For refunds for in class supplemental training, refunds must be requested within first week of registration for full refund. After the first week of registration refunds will be provided on a monthly prorated refund based on the following formula.
- If you have completed between first week and first month of training, 33% of the refundable tuition will be deducted.
- If you have completed between first month and second month of training, 66% of the refundable tuition will be deducted.
- If you have completed between second month and third month of training, no refund will be provided.
*Good and usable condition means that the textbook, if ordered, is unmarked and undamaged by shipping. It shall be the student’s responsibility to package and ship the course material in such a manner as to assure compliance.
EXAM PREP/CRASH COURSE RESCHEDULE AND REFUND POLICY
For any rescheduling of a Live Crash Course, we must be notified 48 hours before the date selected. If notification of reschedule is less than 48 hours before the training, there is a $50 rescheduling fee. To reschedule your Crash Course you must email email@example.com.
There is no refund for the Online Exam Prep ($50). There is a partial refund of $125 for the Live Crash Course. In order to receive a refund, we must be notified 48 hours in advance of the scheduled exam crash course date.
